Your responses to this survey will help us to improve the quality, relevance and accessibility of music education in Hertfordshire. HMS will publish the results of the survey once analysis has been completed and outline the impact your responses will have on the delivery of our services.

Why does the survey ask me for personal details such as gender, age, ethnic background, disability?

It’s really important we get to know you better so that we can plan and deliver inclusive services that are tailored to your specific needs.

  • identify and address any barriers to accessing our services or getting more information about them;
  • continually improve the services we deliver.

What about confidentiality?

Your survey responses will be returned directly to Hertfordshire Music Service (HMS), part of Hertfordshire County Council, who will process and store your data in accordance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy Policy is available here. Data that is shared with Hertfordshire County Council will be anonymous and aggregated to ensure that individuals cannot be identified. It will be stored in accordance with the county council’s Data Protection Policy.
